Join us for our 2ND ANNUAL CREATIVE SUMMIT - hosted by Bridge The Gap San Diego!
Our mission is to empower and inspire the next generation of Filipino American creatives, by providing a space for learning, collaboration, and artistic expression – challenging the cultural norm that pursuing a career in the creative industry is “impractical.” Our vision is to bridge cultures and communities through the art of collective creativity, bringing Filipino talent ranging from singers, dancers, filmmakers, and notable influencers to the forefront of appreciated careers. We aim to foster a deeper understanding of traditional Filipino culture (and the limitations that stem from it) while redefining how one can turn their passion into profession.
ROOTS AND ROUTES
The theme for this year's summit is ROOTS AND ROUTES - focusing on exploring Filipino identity through creativity, culture, and community. Bridge The Gap’s Creative Summit also highlights the importance of finding your true identity from your passion within the culture around you. Community is a big pillar for Bridge The Gap, as we believe that one of the most beautiful parts of the Filipino American experience is the community it fosters.

- WHAT IS THE CREATOR PASS?
We will be giving out free “CREATOR PASSES” to our 2nd annual Creative Summit event! Here’s what YOU need to do:
We want to hear YOUR story of what “Roots & Routes” means to you. To be considered, either:Comment on our "CREATOR PASS" Instagram post what the theme “Roots & Routes” means to you and how your Filipino identity has influenced your professional journey
OR
2. Post a video sharing your experience as a Filipino creative, and how you feel your identity played a role in your career. Tag us on Instagram or TikTok @bridgethegapsd with the hashtag: #BTGCREATIVESUMMIT

CREATIVE SUMMIT EVENT FAQS
- I DON'T IDENTIFY AS FILIPINO AMERICAN. CAN I STILL ATTEND?
YES. The summit is for anyone interested in learning, connecting, and celebrating creativity. While the event centers Filipino American creatives and shines a light on their stories, perspectives, and work, you don’t need to identify as Filipino American to attend. We welcome anyone who wants to be part of the conversation and creative community.
- WHEN AND WHERE IS CREATIVE SUMMIT?
September 27 from 1-6 P.M at the Poway Community Center.
- HOW MANY ATTENDEES WILL BE PRESENT?
We expect around 200+ attendees - from Filipino American creatives, supporters and community members.
Please note seating for our panel speakers are FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE.
This is open to ALL AGES. We encourage you to bring your friends, family and peers as this is a family-friendly event! Let's bridge the gap together!
- WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Check in will begin at 12:30pm. Please have your ticket ready for easy check-in.
- IS THE EVENT INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
Both. The main panel will be indoors, with other engaging exhibitions and networking located outdoors.
- IS PARKING FREE?
Yes, parking is free! We have a lot available as well as street parking - however we recommend carpooling!
- IS THERE AIR CONDITIONING?
Yes, air conditioning will be in the facility.
- WHAT DO I WEAR?
This is a casual event - but we encourage you to wear traditional or modern Filipino attire!
- HOW CAN I REQUEST SPECIFIC ACCOMMODATIONS?
