Nan Tien Temple’s informal Buddhist style ted-talks are back with Series 2 “Living a Boundless Life”. Join 3 inspiring individuals as they share compelling stories that will provoke, inform, entertain and enlighten you. We’ve added a fun participatory part to the talks – at the end we gather as a community to sing “Move To The Beat written and led by Jodi Phillis. Join the old fashion fun with like-minded people as we hear Jodi perform for the first time at a Buddhist temple. Join the conversation.

Meet the speakers

Meet Jodi Phillis, legendary Australian singer/songwriter, composer, painter, a “formidable chameleon” from various bands (The Clouds, Dearhunters, Roger Loves Betty), is releasing her 6th solo album, We Need To Be Free (Cheersquad Records). Go behind the songs and life events as this generous soul talks and sings her truth, before heading off on tour. Jodi’s award-winning song “Everything’s Gonna Be Fine” written for Whirld Web Series, won Best Original Song at The London Movie Awards, September 2021. 

Meet Jack Manning Bancroft, a proud Indigenous Australian from the Bundjalung nation, Founder/CEO of AIME – Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience. Get deadly insights on how Jack changed his anger and frustrations into an award-winning social movement. Using imagi-NATION and alliances, he has powered ahead in creating a fairer world and continues to have a big impact on the lives of so many Indigenous Australians.
