Buddy & Leading Wellbeing Combined Workshop Level 1
Event description
Who:
Anyone who works within the construction industry or supporting services who have frequent contact with the industry (e.g., all trades, specialist services, suppliers, rep/trade merchants, manufacturers, consultants, building inspectors etc.)
Leaders can include business owners, worksite supervisors, health and safety practitioners, mentors, or leaders within an organisation who have an influence on other individuals or teams.
Content:
Our workshops empower individuals to become wellness "Buddies" with the know-how to initiate conversations about mental health with colleagues, offer support, and connect them to professional services. This is ideal for people who have some knowledge of mental health but would like to learn more. For those in leadership roles our workshops equip you with the skills to build a team culture that fosters and supports the mental wellbeing of the entire team. The knowledge and skills learnt within the workshops are transferable to different work environments.
Level 1 focuses on learning to identify suicide risk, understand depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and initiating conversations about mental health within work meetings. It will also provide leaders with practical tools to identify, talk to, and support workers who are struggling with mental health.
• 3 hours per workshop
• Workbook and pocket guide provided for each attendee
• Buddy & Leading Wellbeing workshops available: Level 1, 2, and 3 (generally delivered 6-months apart).
Please note that if we do not reach the numbers required for this workshop to go ahead, your ticket will be deferred to a future workshop. Look out for a confirmation email 48 hours prior to the planned workshop date.
