Grants Development Workshop series 

Session 3: Budget, Justification and Feasibility  

This is the third and final part of the Grants Development Workshop series, specifically designed for research support staff in faculties and central units to build capability in high-quality grant development support across UTS. Interested researchers are also welcome to register. 

Participants attending this session will gain both strategic and practical insights into the following topics: 

  • Budget Fundamentals – pre-award and post-award considerations in developing/managing a project budget 
  • Expense Categories and Justifications – typical items requested and how to justify them 
  • Feasibility – critical features of overall project design  
  • ‘Best Practice’ Examples  

The workshop will be delivered by Dr Thorsten Kostulski and Mr James Walsh from the UTS Research Office.
