Description

Lapis

Five-piece Neo-soul outfit LAPIS are quickly establishing themselves as a force in the Sydney scene. Operating and writing on the Gadigal land of the Eora nation, the group consisting of Leah Reinhardt, Seb Hazel-Harrison, Fergus Harley-MacDonald, Oscar Lubbock and Finn Moore have developed a catalogue of collaboratively-written original music that reflects their eclectic interests, from Pinegrove to Badu to Bjork. LAPIS are set to release their debut EP in 2027, a collection of honest, lyrically-driven songs, featuring grooves that draw from Neo-soul and D&B, and interjected with spoken poetry. LAPIS is a band of friends visibly passionate about the music they perform, at their core writing songs they honestly love.

Bübook

Bübook is the meeting point of grimey groove and feathered melody. The four-piece hails from the Central Coast//Darkinjung Country, harnessing velvety tones, dark gritty rhythms and rich vocal textures to create an airborne, winged and hypnotic Neo-Soul sound. With Preston Walker on keys, Ori Raz on bass, Blake Cox on drums, Micah Booth on guitar and Zoe Davis on the mic, Bübook is a melting-pot of kaleidoscopic influence, carrying an emboldening Future-Soul sound that is equal parts somatic and introspective.

Badman

Drawing on the natural world, Badman writes from the fragile terrain of love, grief and belonging. Her songs linger in the space between feeling and meaning, where questions are left open and mystery becomes its own kind of language.
Self-produced and richly textural, her sound brings together earthy, tactile rhythms, nylon and electric guitars, field recordings and dreamlike reverse reverbs. A light, lyrical soprano drifts through the landscape, creating something raw, elemental and otherworldly.
