Bugs n Buddies! Up close & personal underground!

We all know kids love bugs. And if they don’t, they clearly haven’t made buddies with the bug world yet! That’s what we are here to do - safely show you the wide variety of insect life that lives all around us, doing amazing, strange and important things! 

Budding explorers (ages 4-12) are led through a hands-on investigation of the wonderful bugs and insects that live in our gardens and natural spaces, the places and foods they need to stay alive and their amazing adaptations. We will hunt for critters, look at them up close with a microscope and magnifying lens, explore insect body parts and build a bee hotel to take home.

Understanding how each tiny creature, from soil-dwelling decomposers to flying pollinators, plays a crucial role in protecting our environment.
