Build a Garden Bed: Spring Gardening Woodwork, The ReCreator's Green Space Wednesday 20 Aug 10.30am-2.30pm
Event description
Proudly brought to you by Community Matters!
Roll up your sleeves and get creative in our brand new community garden at The ReCreators Green Space!
In this workshop, you’ll craft a raised garden bed from reclaimed timber, just in time for spring planting. Learn to use power tools safely and confidently under the guidance of our experienced tutor.
It’s a fun way to welcome Spring, pick up useful gardening and woodworking tips, and help our shared green space (and your own garden) thrive!
Get practical, experience with power tools and learn best practices for using power tools safely and effectively.
There will be a health and safety briefing at the start of the workshop to inform participants of safety precautions before we begin using tools.
All participants must wear covered shoes and non-flowing clothing (tight-ish!).
* Please note children are not able to attend with parents due to health and safety requirements.
* Please note that you need to arrive at this workshop for the beginning of class and the health and safety briefing to be able to take part in the rest of the class.
* Please bring a water bottle and snack for yourself.
