Build a Safety Network for Migrant Businesses - May Roundtable
Event description
We warmly invite you to join us for a valuable roundtable discussion this May, focused on building a safer and more supportive network for migrant-owned businesses across Greater Hobart, with particular attention to the northern suburbs.
Following the success of our February, March and April sessions where over 20 migrant business owners and entrepreneurs from diverse community attended and shared their experiences, challenges, and valuable insights , we are excited to continue the conversation and expand the reach of this important initiative.
This impactful gathering will centre around recent safety concerns and broader well-being challenges faced by migrant businesses. And build powerful network between businesses.
Facilitated by Talent Connector, the session will feature guest speakers including a representative from TasPolice and other key stakeholders.
We’ll also be introducing the concept of being an ‘Upstander’ — someone who takes safe and positive action in the face of anti-social behaviour — and provide practical tools to help you protect your business, customers, and community.
Whether you currently run a small business, are planning to start one, or are simply passionate about community safety and inclusion, this session offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow entrepreneurs, community leaders, and local authorities. See you all there.
Note: Light snack will be provided.
