Event description

In today's environment impacted by workforce shortages, creating an inclusive workplace is no longer a nice-to-have, but a necessity. An inclusive workplace may help to attract and retain talent, promote a positive culture, boost productivity, and enhance the overall quality of care.

By building an inclusive workplace, home care providers can tap into a wider pool of talent from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. This rich diversity of thought and experience can bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and creative problem-solving to a team. It also enables home care providers to better reflect the diverse needs of their clients, who, according to the Department of Health and Ageing, come from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, with 28 per cent of the home care users and 20 per cent of residential care.

Join us to learn about practical ways to build inclusion in your organisation and strengthen your market position through service specialisation for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

You can start building an inclusive workplace today!

Speakers:

  • Nikolaus Rittinghausen & Georg Tamm from The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing will explore building an inclusive organisation through simple actionable steps.
  • Isolde Kauffman from the Australian Government Department of Health will discuss the new Specialisation Verification on Servicing CALD communities
