Build an Insect Hotel!

Price $25 AUD + BF Get tickets

Event description

Join Sandra Wilson, GeCo's Head Gardener as she shows you how to create a habitat for all the insects in your Garden.

Adding an hotel to your garden makes for a fun and creative way to encourage biodiversity. Bug hotels provide shelter and nesting sites to native and migratory solitary insects. As most gardeners could tell you, these tiny creatures are crucial—most plants depend on pollinators. And as organic gardeners know all too well, it’s crucial to protect vulnerable pollinators and attract beneficial insects.

All materials are provided, but please if you have a piece of anything interesting you've been saving for a project like this, bring it along!

Tea and Coffee will also be provided and please bring a packed lunch with you.

You will be working out of the Geeveston Community Workshop and so please wear suitably warm clothing, with closed-toe shoes and if appropriate, something to keep your hair our of your face/equipment!

We can't wait to see you.
