Event description

Are you a cyclist who feels unsure when making tight turns or braking suddenly? Is gearing a bit of a mystery? Do you find it a challenge to climb a steep path or hill? If so, this bike training course is for you.

On this two-hour guided bike tour, you will cross intersections smoothly and negotiate with others who share your path. Guided by accredited cycling instructor Mara Ferraro, the group ride will improve your confidence and skills and help you become more familiar with Mernda’s local paths and commuting areas.

You are required to bring a bike and a helmet to join the ride.

Free coffee will be provided at the end of the event.

The session includes:

  • Safety check and bike setup assessment
  • How to inflate tyres and effectively manage gear changes
  • How to safely take corners and execute good turns
  • Communication techniques, hand signals, and riding etiquette
  • Emergency stopping and various other bike-handling skills.

Registration

The cost to secure your booking is $5. Once you register, host Mara Ferraro will contact you to make a payment.
