Building a Community Wellbeing Measurement and Management System
Event description
This webinar will provide a practical explanation of the co-construction process for community-led wellbeing measurement systems, along with examples of how they are being used.
The webinar will focus on the case study of the Hauraki Opportunity, as well as draw on other wellbeing baselines across Australia, NZ, Uganda and India.
Since the launch of the Hauraki Opportunity Findings Report the Huber Social team has had many requests to speak to the co-design and co-construction process – how did we facilitate a project that the results of which represent more than 205 hours of direct survey input asking about more than 78 factors of people’s lives?
Join us for a webinar unpacking exactly that.
What is the Hauraki Opportunity?
The Hauraki Opportunity brought together organisations at all levels of community to co-design, co-construct, and apply a repeatable wellbeing measurement and management system from the flax roots upwards. The system was developed with, and applied by and for, the people of the Hauraki rohe, in Waikato, Aotearoa New Zealand.
Huber Social were engaged to deliver a system that measures what matters to them, so that their needs, aspirations, and priorities can be further understood and evidenced, and so that important choices regarding their present and future wellbeing can be made wisely.
This project built upon the extensive research and passion of its project partners, namely, project lead Te Tara o te Whai and project partners Thames-Coromandel, Hauraki and Matamata-Piako District Councils, where they saw the value in a robust and scalable iteration of their engagement processes.
