Building a Show | A PopRox Improv Course

Do you want to make a new improv show with expert guidance from your favourite improviser-in-a-suit? This is the course for you. 

This eight week course consists of seven workshops and one show, all on Wednesday nights from April 30th. You'll be put into a group of 4-6 people and will work together with your team for 7 workshops to create a brand new format which will then be performed in a student showcase on June 18th (details TBC). Each workshop your group will be under the expert guidance of one of PopRox Improv's professional facilitators. It's likely you'll get a chance to work with multiple tutors over the span of seven weeks to hear different improv perspectives and refine a format which truly inspires your crew. 

Upon signing up, you'll be sent a brief survey asking about the skills and styles of improv you are interested in. This will help inform who we partner you up with and how we focus each of the teams. There will also be a space here to flag any folks you would like or not like to work with. Please keep an eye on your inbox for a confirmation email and check spam if it doesn't come through.

For this workshop save $20 on full price registration by registering by 5pm on April 16th. 

THE STAND-BY LIST
PopRox firmly believes that improv is for everyone, especially when it comes to sharing skills and knowledge. So we're offering "the stand-by list" for all our workshops in 2025. We'll giveaway any spots remaining one week before the first workshop of the course, on a first-come-first-serve basis. No need to provide a reason, no questions asked. If the entry fee is a barrier for you to come along, then simply email poproximprov@gmail.com and we'll pop you on the SBL. Everyone on the list will be notified whether there was a place available for them 7 days before the first workshop.
