Building Airtightness & Thermal Performance Workshop: Rhyll, Phillip Island, VIC
Description
Have you ever wanted to get hands-on with building performance testing?
This workshop gives you the opportunity to be involved in real-world air leakage testing, fault-finding, and thermal envelope assessments.
Join Maxa Design, Integra Quality Homes, Passivetech & Logikhaus at our high-performance home currently under construction in Rhyll (Phillip Island), Victoria. This home is targeting Passivhaus Certification.
Participants will be taken inside a live building performance testing session. A blower door test will be running throughout, allowing attendees to explore and identify areas of air leakage within the building envelope in real time.
In addition, a thermal imaging camera will be used to examine the building fabric and insulation performance, providing practical insight into how building envelopes perform and how small defects can significantly impact overall efficiency and comfort.
Our panel of experts will deliver short presentations followed by a Q&A session, sharing insights into Passivhaus design, heat recovery ventilation (HRV) systems, blower door testing, and the role window performance plays in overall building efficiency.
Our Rhyll (Phillip Island) workshop will be held on:
Saturday, 18th July 2026
Session Times: 9:30am and 11:30am (both sessions will cover the same content).
