    Join us for an exciting Introduction to Anaesthesia Nursing Lecture!

    Presented by Guest Speaker: Alexander Philp RVN, VTS (Anaesthesia & Analgesia). This event is suited to all nurses to demystify anaesthesia and help nurses in the mindset of identifying a specific issue and having the knowledge to treat, even in patients with multiple comorbidities.

    Alexander is a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Anaesthesia & Analgesia. He obtained this in 2021 and has used it to grow and direct his passion for anaesthesia and analgesia in small animals while dabbling in the more exotic species even performing an anaesthetic on a koala for a fracture repair. He has completed the Graduate Certificate year of his Masters in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia at Edinburgh University and is moving into his Graduate Diploma year. Alexander performs and teaches local nerve blocks using both the nerve stimulator and ultrasound and enjoys teaching in all forms providing clinical based teaching as well as workshops and tutorials.
