Travel instructions

Car The venue is located closest to both High Street and St Georges Road. The venue has a big carpark available (about 100 spaces) for guests, speakers, stall holders and staff members to park. The entrance to the carpark is located right next to the main entrance of the venue There is a lot of both limited and unlimited hour street parking available on Watt Street, as well Clapham Street. Bus The bus route 510, 553 and 552 stop nearby the venue. The 510 (Essendon Station to Ivanhoe Station) stop “Clapham Street/Normanby Avenue” is 3-5 minutes walk to the venue. The 553 (Preston – Reservoir) and 552 (North East Reservoir – Northcote Plaza) stop “High Street/Miller Street” is 7-10 minutes walk to the venue. Train Thornbury Train Station is located 2 minutes walk from/to the venue. It is an accessible stop of the trainline Flinder Street Station – Mernda. Trams Tram route 86 (Bundoora RMIT – Waterfront City Docklands) - Tram stop 39 Gooch St/High St is located 2 minutes walk from/to the venue. Tram route 11 (West Preston – Victoria Harbour Docklands) – Tram stop 25 Miller St/St Georges Rd is located 7 minutes walk from/to the venue. Bike It is possible to reach the venue by riding on the St Georges Road bike path. There are bike racks located outside the venue.

Entry instructions

The venue has multiple indoor spaces and a big outdoor space. The Building Bridges Forum is taking place in the Main Hall. The entrance is accessible via few steps or a ramp. Once entered the building, there is an elevator on the right-hand side that can be used to access the Main Hall (on Level 1). Alternatively, the Main Hall can be accessed via 2 flights of stairs located on the left-hand side of the building entrance.

After entry instructions

Proceed past the registration table to the main hall. It is an open space with blue carpet floor and white ceiling and walls. There is a lot of natural light, as well as warm lights that will be on during the meeting. A sound system will be used during the event to amplify speakers voices during the event. The room will contain around 13 large round tables that seat 8 people. There is a kitchen at the back of the main hall that will be used throughout the day for catering purposes and to serve lunch.

Toilet location

Bathrooms are located near the registration area, on the left-hand side before entering the main hall. The sign says “Djillawah”, meaning bathrooms in Wurundjeri language. There are all gender, female, male and accessible facilities.
