Building Community in Uncertain Times

This session is a brief history of why we are intentionally denied community, how to overcome it, and how to find ways to flourish and create our own support systems in in uncertain times.

This 90-minute session on Thursday, October 8 is for people with lived experience in the sex trade. It begins at 1:30pm ET/12:30pm CT/11:30am MT/10:30am PT.

How can we find ways to discuss how stigma impacts all of us, while also being mindful of how some of us have been dealing with this type of stigma and isolation for several years?

Phoenix Calida is a Chicago-born activist, podcaster, and organizer involved in sex worker rights and racial justice activism who still resides in the Midwest. After experiencing poverty and police brutality while engaging in sex work, she became determined to fight for sex workers' rights.
