Building Community Partnerships: EASL TEN MEETING
Event description
A session exploring the ways to approach community partnerships, what to consider and some examples of the beneficial outcomes that partnering with other groups can bring.
We will hear from Lisa Loulier, Sustainability Officer from Yarra Ranges Council, who works closely with community groups and schools. She will share her experiences of common partnerships and things to keep in mind when wanting to collaborate on a project.
We will also share ideas on partnering with other education organisations such as schools and early years centres, hearing from each about what some of the needs and considerations are when partnering.
The TEN meetings aim to support educators to better integrate sustainability into the curriculum and their workplace by:
- providing an opportunity for sharing knowledge, experiences and skills
- supporting and encouraging new activities and programs
- connecting local government goals with those of schools and early years
- providing a connections to relevant and interesting programs and resources around sustainability education.
Attendees will receive a certificate meeting professional development requirements set by VIT registration.
