Building Farm Resilience ORFORD FIELD DAY
Orford Hall
orford, australia
Event description
A must-attend event as we face drying conditions including reduced rainfall and increasing temperatures. Multispecies pastures, revegetation and effective water management are key strategies to build resilience on farms. Jade Killoran will attend the event virtually and present information on multispecies pastures, reducing feed gaps and increasing soil moisture and nutrient uptake. Alex Lewis from the Glenelg Hopkins CMA will talk about water management and a discussion on revegetation will follow. Lunch will be provided and the day will conclude with a farm visit to John and Sue Homan's nearby property to see their revegetation activities.
