Event description

Building bushfire-resilient homes is critical to safeguarding lives and property, as bushfires are becoming more frequent and severe due to global warming.

In the next SBA webinar, Sarah Lebner, Director of Cooee Architecture, will inform us on how we can design and build to withstand the challenges of living in bushfire prone areas.

Sarah will be sharing her insights on:

  • How to get started on a potentially bushfire-prone block; how to get a BAL rating
  • How to find the right level of Bushfire Assessor for your project and what to ask them
  • Design and construction principles for bushfire prone sites
  • Material and product requirements for bushfire-prone sites
  • Details that address energy-efficiency, condensation management, cost-effectiveness and ember proofing.

This will be a practical, information packed session, not to be missed.
