Building Resilience. Your Essential Skill.
Get a resilience plan that you can implement daily.

4 May 2022 Wednesday
11:00 am - 12:30 pm NSW | Zoom

Do you ever feel stressed? Ever feel pressure to get things done? Or feel anxious and worried about work, health, life, or change?

If you said no to all of these, it means one of 3 things: you’re a liar, you’re dead or you’re on some serious drugs. Given the last two years of disruption and uncertainly, we have all had to change the way we work, relax, play and interact with the people around us. This has left many of us feeling tired, exhausted and a little flat.

Resilience is the ability to persist in the face of adversity and bounce back from setbacks.

It is a skillset that we all need to practice so that we can stay motivated, achieve results and be there to support the people around us. Resilience is a journey not a destination. But the reality is that we all need some real life, practical and easy to implement strategies to refill the tank.

Resilience is made up of your self-understanding, your physical resilience, your mental resilience and your emotional resilience. So how well do you know yourself, your needs and priorities? Are you behaving in a way that is consistent with your values? Do you know where to focus to make a change in your life? How is your physical resilience? Have you put on any Covid-kilos? Many of us are eating more home cooked meals but are we taking the time to exercise and relax without feeling guilty? You are only as capable as your body allows you to be. Working on your mental resilience can help you to let go of the things you can’t control, to stop ruminating, stop catastrophizing and increase your mindfulness. Building your emotional resilience will give you strategies to manage your anger, anxiety and negative responses. It can help to build your optimism and the way you react to failure and difficult situations. Changing your attitude can help you bounce back faster, build confidence, ask for help and nurture key relationships.

Key take-away from this session – for managers of people and individuals:

Attending this session, will help you step out of the day to day and change the way you think, feel and react. It will give you the skills to more consciously allocate your time to get what you need and be happier in what you do. You will walk out with a resilience plan that you can implement daily.
