Christine McHugh

Christine McHugh is the Founder of White Strand Development LLC, a boutique WBE-certified real estate consulting firm focused on aligning smart building data with smart city initiatives. With over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, Christine is a leading futurist and strategic advisor specializing in developing and implementing innovative PropTech solutions that enhance operational efficiency and transparency.

Christine's previous corporate real estate clients include Siemens, Merrill Lynch, and Bank of America. Currently, she works with clients such as the City of New York and American Express on PropTech projects, emphasizing optimization of energy, waste, and water management for improved environmental, health, safety, and inclusivity outcomes.

She is also the creator and host of 'PropTech Insights', a series that explores how to identify and leverage hidden value in existing data to advance Net Zero goals and drive sustainable practices. Additionally, Christine serves as a board member of ASHRAE/NYC and the US PropTech Council.

Amit Paul


Amit Paul is the Vice President of Smart Buildings at Nantum AI, an award-winning platform that enhances building operational performance by optimizing energy use, reducing carbon emissions, and lowering costs—all while maintaining occupant health and comfort.

Amit began his career as an energy engineer, specializing in the multifamily and commercial real estate sectors. After earning his master’s degree in sustainability management, he transitioned to energy and sustainability consulting, helping real estate clients effectively plan, manage, and achieve their corporate sustainability goals.

In his role at Nantum AI, Amit leverages his expertise in building technologies, automation, controls, and machine learning to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that create lasting value for clients.
