Event description

As the days grow shorter and the nights shine brighter, we invite interfaith families to prepare for Hanukkah by creating their own hanukkiah (Hanukkah menorah) to use during the holiday!

Known as the Festival of Lights, Hanukkah celebrates resilience and the miracle of oil that lasted eight nights. This fun, hands-on event is perfect for kids ages 0–13 and includes crafting your hanukkiah, learning about the custom of lighting it, and receiving tips to make your Hanukkah celebration meaningful and magical. Whether it’s your first Hanukkah or your 40th, come connect, create, and get inspired. Snacks will be provided—because what’s Hanukkah without a little nosh?

This event will take place on the west side on December 14th and the east side on December 15th.

If you have any questions, please contact Julia Rothschild at jrothschild@jecc.org.
