THE HON ANDREW GILES MP, Minister for Skills and Training, Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, is joining us to celebrate the launch of the Building Women's Careers:EmpowerHER Pathways Program, a 3-year initiative designed to create sustainable, accessible, gender-inclusive training and mentoring opportunities for females into careers in high-growth sectors of Clean Energy, Advanced Manufacturing, Construction, Digital & Technology sectors.

The Hon Andrew Giles MP, will be joined by special guest presenters, Hilary Barton, President Engineers Australia, Director Strategic Projects, Port Waratah Coal Services, Teniele Piddington, People Manager, John Holland Gamuda Australia Joint Venture and Tracey Medley, Senior Projects Engineer, Gamuda Australia, John Holland Gamuda Australia Joint Venture who will be sharing their journeys, challenges and opportunities.

If you are a business, this program can assist you develop supportive employment strategies to build female representation, provide work experience opportunities, mentorship, traineeships or apprentices, address skill gaps and work with you to create sustainable employment opportunities for women.

If you are a school, VET provider, educational facility, agency, this program can assist you align training delivery with industry needs and provide work experience for students to improve graduate employment outcomes.

If you are a female looking to explore new opportunities within the high-growth, male-dominated sectors of Clean Energy, Advanced Manufacturing, Construction, Digital & Technology, this program can assist mentor, train, and provide work experience opportunities to get you started on a new rewarding career.

This program received grant funding from the Australian Government. Career Links will work with industry partners including Regional Department Australia - Hunter, and the educational sector including with TAFE NSW, across the Hunter region to explore career pathways, address gender disparities through mentoring, coordinated training, employment opportunities and workplace support.
