In August 2021, we set up a stone Bora ring and ceremonial ground opposite Adani’s mine and have been continuously re-occupying our land since then, asserting our human rights as Wangan and Jagalingou people to practise culture and live on our homelands.

Despite Adani’s attempts to remove and antagonise us, we have continued our cultural ceremony unhindered. And we have made history - our rights to practise our culture on a mining lease have now been recognised under the Queensland Human Rights Act.

Join us for a very special three day celebration at Waddananggu to mark two years of strength, determination and Wangan and Jagalingou resilience.

ACCOMMODATION: you will need to bring your own camping gear or camper vehicle.

FOOD: All meals, tea and coffee (BYO snacks) will be provided for the duration of the celebration (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) and you can opt in for dinner on Thursday night and/or breakfast on Monday morning at the time you secure your ticket.

BIKE RIDE: There will be a trip to culturally significant site(s) on Saturday. Interest-dependent, this will incorporate a bike tour, so you're encouraged to bring your bike (and/or help others with a bike / bike transport). If there is a bike tour incorporated, there will also be cars going, so no one will miss out.
