Event description
The CME DigiTech Program team are excited to bring the Inspiring Girls Careers Forum to WA regional areas for the first time!
This is a unique careers event designed to showcase the resources industry to female school students (years 6-11) to inspire our regional young females to greater understand the diversity of careers available in the resources sector, and how they can get there.
During the event, students will have the opportunity to:
• Hear from inspiring, female, industry guest speaker
• Participate in a fun, hands-on, STEM related activity
• Take part in a ‘speed careering’
• Interact with local industry representatives
By participating in the Inspiring Girls Careers Forum students will:
• Understand the diverse university and VET career pathways available to them in the resources sector
• See the benefits and opportunities for females working in the resources sector
• Be inspired to pursue different subjects and new career options
• Build connections with local resource sector companies
The Inspiring Girls initiative is coordinated by CME and sponsored by WA resources sector organisations, it is free for students and teachers to attend.
Each table of 8 will host 5 students, 1 teacher and 2 industry representatives. A school may book up to 2 tables (the 2nd table can host 6 students as only one accompanying teacher is required). Please note: schools are responsible for own travel to and from the venue.
