Bunbury Young Adults Arts and Crafts Social Sessions 🎨✂️

Free social event for young adults aged 18-25 (or close to). Meet people your age for free arts / crafts workshops with Gabby at Imperfect Painter. 

Each session will focus on a different medium: 

• 18 July: Pottery
• 15 August: Acrylic painting
• 19 September: Jewellery making
• 17 October: Watercolour painting.

About the Artist: Gabrielle Holt

Hi, my name is Gabby and I am the creator of Imperfect Artist.

I hope to create a space that embraces the imperfections of art and let’s the creative juices run wild, without the strict constraints of our own expectations.

I have struggled for a long time with depression and anxiety. For years I was unhappy with my own artwork and fixated on creating “perfect” and realistic paintings - which only lead to disappointment and resentment. It didn’t matter how “good” my art was, I never thought it was good enough. For years I didn’t touch my art, because it felt stressful and made me feel self loathing.

I started running these workshops to create a safe space for people to learn about art and embrace their artistic side, in an environment that is free of judgement. In my workshops, there is no expectation for your art to look a certain way. It’s about learning and creating something in an environment that has a positive effect on our mental health.
