Event description

Spring plant walk!  This walk will be an opportunity to learn about medicinal plants that are common in our local forest preserve. We will learn identification strategies, edible and medicinal uses, and some folklore and stories. All are welcome.

Please use the entrance off of Caldwell Road, near the intersection of Caldwell and Tonty. Park in the lot closest to the entrance - do not drive further into the preserve. We will meet at the closest parking lot.

There is a bathroom at this location.  This walk will be at a slow pace. Some of the path is paved and some portions will be on a dirt path. There is quite a bit of poison ivy so people may wish to wear long pants and closed-toed shoes.

This is an outdoor event and masks are not required. Please stay home if you are sick with symptoms of any illness, or have recently tested positive for Covid-19.

Please reach out with any other accessibility questions or concerns.
