Event description

Kids, it’s time to get on your bikes and embark on an adventure! Join us for a FREE biking Easter egg hunt designed for young riders aged 2-10 years old.

Explore the wetland trails at Matakauri Park, collect clues, and keep an eye out for the bunnies!

Everyone finishing will win an Easter prize and get to enjoy refreshing ice blocks!

Important Info:

This event is free, but tickets are required to limit participation to 80 people. Be sure to grab your ticket from Humanitix!

What to Bring:

A bike, scooter, or balance bike and a sense of adventure!

Parents, please plan to ride with your kids and join in the fun! The self-guided hunt will take between 30-60 minutes, with the last pick-up for answer sheets at 12 PM.


Meeting Point:
Bike your way to the town end of Matakauri Park to collect your answer sheet and start the hunt! All riding will take place on the safe trails of Matakauri Park, which do not cross any roads or city streets. Matakauri Park is only 1.5km from town and 3.5km from Arthurs Point along the Sutherland Trail.

Mark your calendars, gather your little riders, and get ready for an exciting day outdoors!

This event is created and run by The Lightfoot Initiative with funding from QLDC. It’s part of the Sutherland Track Commuter Connect Programme, aimed at encouraging and rewarding active travel between Arthurs Point and Queenstown.
