Flexible & Inclusive Volunteering Back to Basics – Making Volunteering Fit People
Volunteering is changing.
This workshop is designed to support community groups, incorporated associations, sporting clubs and volunteer involving organisations to rethink the traditional approach to volunteering and create opportunities that better fit the lives, skills and circumstances of people today.
Not everyone can volunteer every Tuesday, join a committee for three years or commit to the same role every week.
People may want to volunteer for an hour, help at one event, complete a task from home, volunteer as a family, contribute professional skills, participate online or become involved in a short term project.
Rather than asking "How do we find people to fit our existing volunteer roles?", this workshop encourages organisations to ask: "How can we make volunteering fit people?"
Participants will explore practical ways to remove barriers, redesign volunteer opportunities and create a more flexible and inclusive volunteer experience.
Succession Planning Back to Basics – Making Sure Your Organisation Can Keep Going
What would happen to your organisation if your President, Secretary, Treasurer, Volunteer Coordinator or key volunteer suddenly said:
"I'm finished."
Would someone else know what to do?
This workshop is designed to support community groups, incorporated associations, sporting clubs and volunteer involving organisations to take a simple and practical approach to succession planning.
Succession planning is not just about finding the next President or committee member. It is about making sure that important knowledge, skills, contacts, records and responsibilities are not held by only one person.
The workshop helps organisations identify key roles, recognise potential gaps, share knowledge, develop future leaders and create simple systems that make handovers easier.
Rather than waiting until someone leaves, participants are encouraged to start succession planning before they need it.
The aim is simple:
Don't wait until someone leaves to ask "Who's next?"
