Ready to shimmy, strut, and unleash your inner showgirl or showbo? 

Join Holly Hornet and Muse School of Burlesque for a five-week introduction to burlesque and the art of the tease course! Explore the delicious fundamentals of burlesque—think juicy bumps, sultry grinds, powerful struts, and playful shimmies. You’ll also learn the iconic glove peel and discover creative ways to remove clothing with flair, drama, and confidence. (No nudity required)

Each week, we’ll sprinkle in a little burlesque history too—because knowing where this artform comes from makes the glitter shine even brighter.

This is a class for everyone—all genders, all bodies, all abilities. You’re encouraged to wear whatever makes you feel good, whether that’s leggings and sneakers or sparkles and heels. 

Come for the moves, stay for the fun, and leave feeling fabulous. Let’s make some burlesque magic together!

What: 60min, adults only beginner friendly weekly dance classes
When: Sunday's 1.30-2.30pm from 4 May - 1 June 2025*
Where: Evolution Performance Centre, Level 2, 575-597 Pacific Hwy, St Leonards NSW 2065
Wear: Comfortable clothes you can move in (work out wear welcome), dance heels optional (regular high heels are often hard to dance in), feel free to add items that help you feel sassy or beautiful!
Bring: Water, notepad and pen, phone to film choreography or photograph yourself at the end of classes!

*Please Note: On Sunday 18 May the class will run one hour earlier at 12.30pm-1.30pm as a one off different time.

About Holly:

Holly Hornet is a Sydney based burlesque performer who has been performing for over seven years both in Sydney and interstate. Her performance style is cute but with a little bit of spice, relishing the juxtaposition between sweet and dangerous.

Muse School of Burlesque:

The Muse School of Burlesque operates primarily in the Sutherland Shire and Illawarra, with special events and classes in Sydney and the North Shore.

Muse aims to bring exciting and preeminent burlesque performers to teach their unique skills and insights, providing a rounded and diverse experiences to benefit its students growth and understanding of burlesque.

Muse School of Burlesque acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land we dance on, the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
