Burnout to Balance: Recharging Your Neurodivergent Mind
Description
Neurodivergent burnout isn’t simply “being tired”. It can be the cumulative result of masking, sensory stress, social demands, executive function strain, constant self-monitoring and environments that do not fit.
This practical, interactive webinar is for neurodivergent adults who feel as though they are always running on fumes — even when they appear to be coping. You’ll learn how to recognise earlier warning signs, map the demands draining your capacity and build a realistic recovery plan without guilt or “new me” pressure.
WHAT WE’LL COVER
• What burnout can look like in neurodivergent adults, and why it is often missed
• Cognitive, emotional, sensory, physical and behavioural warning signs
• The demand–capacity model, and why rest alone is not always enough
• Reducing demand through boundaries, simplification and renegotiation
• Recovery strategies that support neurodivergent nervous systems
• Unmasking and energy budgeting: what drains you and what restores you
• Rebuilding routines gently and preventing relapse at work and at home
WHO IT’S FOR
• Neurodivergent adults, including autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic and AuDHD people
• Newly or late-diagnosed and self-identified adults
• Anyone caught in a cycle of coping, crashing, recovering and repeating
No formal diagnosis is needed. This is an educational session, not therapy, and there is no pressure to share personal information.
WHAT YOU’LL LEAVE WITH
• A simple self-check for recognising burnout earlier
• A demand–capacity map to identify what is tipping you into overload
• A realistic recovery plan for this week and the coming month
• Practical scripts for renegotiating expectations at work or at home
• Clear next steps you can adapt to your own situation
ACCESSIBILITY AND PARTICIPATION
Live automated captions are available. Cameras and microphones are optional. You can participate by voice, chat, anonymous activities or quiet reflection, and you may pass, pause or step away at any time. The session will be recorded and shared with everyone who registers.
