    Clans o Tauranga!  Hae we git a pure lovely feast fur ye! 

    Kitchen Takeover and St Amand on The Strand are delighted to present a culinary celebration of Scotland, with the inaugural Burns Supper from January 25-27. 

     Named for the great Scottish poet Robbie Burns, who died in midsummer nearly 228 years ago, Kitchen Takeover's take on the Burns Supper will be long on Scottish tradition with a cheeky wee twist.  Don your finest tartan and enjoy peat-smoke infused poetry, the rich burr of bonhomie and camaraderie, a dram and a draught.  We'll take you deep into the Highlands, haggis and neeps, whisky and pipes, as we raise oor glasses tae the baird o’ Scotland, Robbie Burns. 

     And for those who want to partake in 'the water of life', we're creating premium whisky tasting paddles; both elegant Speyside and peated West Coast and maybe a surprise or two! 

    Our Burns Supper continues Kitchen Takeover's edible tour of the planet, where in recent years we’ve taken locals to France, to the Middle East, to the Caribbean and Brazil. In turn, our world-class chefs and staff bring the best cuisine on the planet to Aotearoa's shores... and now the land of lochs and castles, of Nessie and Whisky, is coming your way!

    🤔 Who is it for?

    Wild-at-heart foodies on the hunt for a ‘big city’ style food adventure. Think the secrecy of an Edinburgh supper club mixed with the gastronomy of a top Melbourne laneway eatery and the creativity of a Copenhagen restaurant.

    🍽️ What will you eat?

    The menu is set and will be revealed on arrival - surprise!  However, expect an evening of deep a rich Scottish cuisine featuring all the fond favourites... with a possible twist! 

    🌱 What about dietaries?  

    This edible adventure has been carefully crafted, so the only dietary alternation we can make is for vegetarians. 

    👨‍🍳 Who is designing the mouthwatering menu?   

    In the kitchen will be Will Dods who boasts over 17 years of experience across top wineries, luxury lodges, and restaurants in New Zealand and Australia. Will's passion for culinary craft was ignited under 4-rosette Chef Simon Green, leading to a career highlight at Shannon Bennett's Vue de Monde in Melbourne. Will is a chef of few words, subscribing to the belief that you are only as good as your last service and firmly following  Gordon Ramsay's mantra of "let your food do the talking."
