    WHO IS HOSTING THIS CAMP?

LATCH Collective is a network of support for tiny home enthusiasts and DIY builders. We are a cooperatively owned organization of DIY builders planning and building their own custom, creative housing solutions.

This Co-Build camp, we will be working on several van and bus projects featuring two co-op members, Mercedes and Kim!

"Hi! My name is Mercedes and I am converting a 2014 Ram Promaster 3500. I have a lot of great ideas for my design layout and can't wait to begin my build. My design layout has two raised platforms that are essential to the main two living spaces. The first raised platform is in the front behind the driver seat. This section will house the dinette, my son's seat (that will convert into a sleep space). The second raised platform will be in the rear and house a tailgate pullout platform/seat. However before I get too far ahead of myself I must complete the very first step, laying down the subfloor. At LATCH Co-build camp we plan to measure and create accurate templates of my floor space, transfer these templates to chipboard for proof of concept, and finally make our cuts on plywood. Hope to see you there!"

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hi! My name is Kim and I’m converting a 35’ retired airport shuttle bus into a continent crossing capable RV. I’m lucky that I can fit my bus in my driveway so I could potentially work on it whenever the mood strikes… so long as the weather is good, there aren’t too many mosquitos, I already loaded the dishwasher... Anyway, I super appreciate any help from LATCH friends or my boyfriend Roman which gets me back on track. My Turtletop bus shell is fiberglass, but it does have metal tubing inside the walls that I can use to secure cabinets and such. Having curved walls means that everything must be custom built. One thing I hope to work on during camp is rough framing of my kitchen cabinetry. I also have been seeking a kind soul who can show me around my new sewing machine so I can make a seam on a curtain that is straight and doesn’t fall out immediately. I can’t wait to meet you!"
