About the Artist: Angela is a local artist and has over 35 years of teaching experience in the area of visual art. She works in numerous mediums and has been involved in a number of solo and group exhibitions. Angela has always enjoyed playing with colours. She has recently discovered the versatility of vibrant liquid watercolours and used these to develop surface designs using the flora of the Australian bush.
Liquid Watercolour Painting with this medium makes mixing and matching colours an easy process. It gives the artist a consistent colour and dries quickly. These qualities make it a great choice for any art work that needs to be completed in one session and it is a very forgiving medium for beginners. The colours are vibrant and brilliant, giving art pieces a splash of sensational colour and an expressive quality.
Participants are encouraged to make colour photocopies of their work. These can be used as wrapping paper, belly bands and in cardmaking. The final artwork is really versatile. Angela will show everyone examples of these ideas.
