Bush Buddies

Bush Buddies is a fun after-school nature group for children aged 5–12 who are interested in nature.

Held on Wednesdays during the school term, each session begins at the Mount Pleasant Environment Centre, located inside Recreate. Children will enjoy a fruit snack and share what they have noticed in nature during the past week before taking part in a nature-based activity.

Each week will offer something different. Some sessions will build on previous activities, while others will stand alone. Sessions may be held indoors or outdoors, and occasionally the group will walk across Melrose Street to explore the River Torrens.

Parent/carer supervision

A parent or responsible adult must remain with and supervise their child throughout each session. Bush Buddies is not a drop-off program.

Time: Wednesdays, 3.30–4.15pm

• Wednesday 4 November

• Wednesday 11 November

• Wednesday 18 November

• Wednesday 25 November

• Wednesday 2 December

Cost: $17.50 per child for the full seven-week term, payable upfront
Places: Limited to 10 children

Please dress children in weather-appropriate clothing and enclosed shoes. A fruit snack will be provided, so please advise us when booking of any allergies, medical conditions or accessibility requirements.
