Bush Buds: River Walk
Event description
You’ve chosen your Bush bud - now it’s time to learn all about them!
Join us for a Bush Buds walk - the theme of this walk is River, and will give you the opportunity to learn more about the habitat of the following Bush Buds:
- Macquarie Perch
- Murray River Cod
- Two-spined blackfish
- Murray River Crayfish
- Yellow spotted bell frog
Join us for a river walk with a view across the Murrumbidgee, on the Strathnairn to Shepherds Lookout trail. We will stop for morning tea during the walk.
This is a 6.8km return walk.

Where? Ginninderry Conservation Corridor
Meet at “the Link” community centre, 1 McClymont Way. Google map details.
When? Sunday 30 July at 10am - 1pm
Who? The team from the Ginninderry Conservation Trust.
Accessibility
Listed as a grade 3 walk. This is a fully formed track with some steep sections, it is
6.8km return. Toilets are available at the Link.
Unfortunately, this walk is not wheelchair accessible, but future Bush Buds walks will be, so please keep an eye on our social media pages or contact info@conservationcouncil.org.au if you would like to be updated about walk accessibility.
