Bush Inventors' Club - Crawley - Homeschool Edition

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Bush Inventors’ Club is a space where primary-aged children can experiment, create and play with natural resources in a fun homeschool activity.

Nature Educators and Nature Playworkers lead the clubs. They are passionate about allowing freedom of play.

A major part of the club is developing self-risk assessment skills, allowing risk-taking with support in identifying hazards and body awareness.

Term One will focus on Nature Connection Games & Stories, complemented by hut building, tool use and development of bush skills. Stories allow people to connect to spaces, community and themselves. Children will hear stories about the ways in which various cultures connect to nature as they develop their own narrative of connection. A series of Wilderness Awareness Games will explore stories in high energy and fast-moving ways while others are less active and focus more on stillness. These games enhance awareness and the full use of the senses. They open our peripheral vision, hearing, ability to spot intricate details or simply develop our patience in being still in nature.

Please note, children must have turned 6 to attend Bush Inventors' Club. This is a drop and leave program, if your child requires a support worker please contact us to discuss further.
