The Bushcraft Village Spring Camp Out 2026
Bushcraft, ancestral skills, nature connection, play and adventure!
Join us for four days of camping in a beautiful, forested private conservation property.
We’ll make things with our hands, explore the forest, share meals and stories, and enjoy the beauty of the land and the fire. We will provide guided workshops, and plenty of time to simply enjoy being in the forest.
Come on your own, with friends or with your family. No bushcraft experience needed.
The Bushcraft Village is a grassroots, volunteer-run community project. We come together to deepen our relationships with the natural world, develop our skills, share our knowledge and build local community. Spending time in wild places helps us feel more alive, more fulfilled and more deeply human.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Yaegl and Gumbaynggirr people of the Bundjalung Nation. We pay respect to the elders, past, present and emerging.

What Happens At The Camp Out?
Across the gathering, you can look forward to:
Hands-on workshops in bushcraft, survival and ancestral skills.
Movement games and nature connection practices among the trees, on the rocks and along the rivers.
Guided morning workshops (for adults, and separately for children and young people)
Practice and exploration and play in the afternoons
Communal dinners on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Night walks, nature spotting and games.
An evening of music, poetry and storytelling.
Plenty of time to relax and enjoy the village life.
Every session is hands-on, with opportunities to watch, ask questions and apply the skills.
We’ll run 2 - 3 simultaneous workshops each morning, and give space for supported skills practice and side quests during the afternoons.
All the activities are optional. Join in throughout the day, spend an afternoon practising a particular skill or simply relax and listen to the birds.

Who Is The Bushcraft Camp Out For?
Our gatherings are for anyone curious about bushcraft, outdoor skills and deepening their relationship with the natural world. Beginners are welcome, alongside experienced bushcrafters who want to deepen their practice and connect with the community. We are a welcoming and friendly bunch!
You need to be comfortable camping and spending time outdoors. You’ll bring your own tent or swag, sleeping gear and equipment for preparing breakfast and lunch.
The campsite and activity areas include uneven bush terrain. Please consider whether this environment will suit your mobility and access needs.
This is a drug and alcohol free event.
Children & Young People
Three dedicated mentors will lead workshops and facilitated experiences for children and young people, aged 5 - 15, during the morning sessions, from 10am to 1pm, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The group will split off into different age groups.
Parents and guardians do not need to supervise their children in the morning sessions, but adults are welcome to join in too! We want parents to be able to deepen their skills and connection to the land while their children are supported to have their own adventures.
Young people aged 13 and over can choose between the children & young people’s sessions and the adult workshops. Some adult workshops may have additional age restrictions, depending on the activity.
Parents and guardians are responsible for their children outside the supervised morning programme. Children under 5 must remain in the care of a parent or guardian throughout the gathering.

The Camp Environment
Our campsite sits within over 1,000 acres of private conservation land in the Pillar Valley, with 11 kilometres of hiking trails and epic escarpment views stretching towards the Solitary Islands.
The property supports over 470 recorded plant species, along with glossy black cockatoos, powerful owls, gliders, swamp wallabies, lace monitors and many other charismatic creatures!
The facilities include:
Plenty of space for camping.
An amenities block with toilets and hot showers.
Shelter for activities.
Access to trails through the conservation land.
The atmosphere is warm, relaxed and friendly. All sorts of crafts and skills, a few kids running around, cups of tea by the fire, laughter, and good times!

This is a non-profit organization. We have priced our tickets to cover the costs of food, venue, accommodation and labour.
Ticket Refunds & Transfers
If you cancel on or before 31 October 2026, we’ll refund your ticket payment less a $30/ticket administration fee. Cancellations from 1 November 2026 are non-refundable.
You can transfer your ticket to another person. To arrange a transfer, email Ash with the new attendee’s name, email address and phone number.
