Join us for an interactive fire preparedness session for residents in Kandanga, Amamoor, Coles Creek, Imbil and surrounds. 

This session offers practical advice and insights from local experts about the vital role of fire in our landscape and how you can reduce fuel loads and mitigate bushfire risks.
Learn about:

  • Fire ecology, ecological burning, and hazard reduction from experienced fire ecologists.
  • A comprehensive Rural Fire Service QLD presentation on "Prepare, Act, Survive" and an overview of the new Australian Fire Danger Rating System.
  • Practical steps you can take as a property owner.

By the end of this session, you will:- 

  • Learn practical steps for better fuel management to support ecological outcomes and minimize risks to your property.
  • Connect with other landholders in your community.
  • Gain a deeper understanding of fire ecology, fuels management and importance of prescribed burning.
