Description

Beat the heat and dive into the watery world of Centennial Park! Join our educators for a full day of hands-on discovery, water-based fun and outdoor adventure.

Follow the trail from wetland to pond, learning clever ways animals stay cool and survive when water is scarce, and how we can all use water wisely to protect our natural environment.

Dipnet for tiny pond creatures, experiment with floating and sinking, and cool off with plenty of water games and outdoor play – no drop goes to waste as we help water the parklands and keep the plants growing!

Program highlights:

  • Wetland Walk – discover how water helps plants and animals survive summer.

  • Dipnetting – explore the hidden world of tiny pond creatures.

  • Water Games – help water the park while you play and cool off!

  • Water Conservation – discover practical ways to save water and protect our natural environment.

Come ready to splash and explore as we discover why water is one of nature’s most precious resources.

Please note: Our programs are primarily child-led nature play experiences. Whilst we have planned themes, children co-create the program each day and may not engage in scheduled activities.

This program is suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years.

Creative Kids vouchers are accepted for this program.

Please provide the voucher number, name and date of birth of your child during the booking process.
