Business for Good Workshop & Group Mentoring
Description
Join the Business for Good program and the City of Onkaparinga for an event that brings together two connected group experiences for the small business community in the region: a one-hour interactive workshop followed by two hours of group mentoring.
Small businesses play a vital role in building strong communities and local economies. This space offers a valuable opportunity to explore how integrating social and environmental impact into your business can strengthen your brand, build customer loyalty, attract new opportunities and help future-proof your business. Participants will gain practical tools, proven frameworks and valuable connections with like-minded business owners, helping them turn purpose into a driver of sustainable growth and business success.
Places are limited to 15 spots, so register early to secure yours.
This event is hosted by the City of Onkaparinga, facilitated by Business for Good Program delivery partners Collab4Good and the South Australian Social Enterprise Council (SASEC), and supported by Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism.
Part 1: Business for Good Workshop
The Collab4Good team will host an interactive workshop that goes back to the fundamentals of Business for Good, so your enterprise is built on strong, impact-driven foundations.
Together, we'll:
Explore your WHY, and unpack different impact and business models
Draw on existing examples of business knowledge and practices to deepen our understanding of impact-led enterprise
Introduce systems thinking and systems change, so you can see how your business fits into the wider movement for social, environmental and economic transformation
Learn to use a Theory of Change framework - a practical tool for embedding impact into your business model strategically and intentionally
Whether you're early in shaping your impact-led approach or refining one already underway, you'll leave with greater clarity and confidence in how to embed it.
Part 2: Group Mentoring
Right after the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to connect with other participants through facilitated small group conversations shaped by participant-led topics, challenges and opportunities.
Facilitated by the South Australian Social Enterprise Council (SASEC) and Collab4Good, this session is an open, safe space for participation, where you'll:
Have your voice heard: suggest the business topics you'd most like to explore (you can propose more than one, and/or chose to dive further into topics addressed in the workshop)
Share and discuss in small groups, each hosted by a Business for Good mentor: talk through the chosen topics, with the freedom to move between groups and pick up insights from different focus areas
Create connections: build relationships and explore opportunities for collaboration, guided by conversations shaped by the group's own topics, challenges and opportunities
This is an opportunity to dive deeper into Business for Good development topics, and to build meaningful connections with like-minded people who are creating positive impact through their business.
