Introduction to Carbon Accounting

Consumers are becoming increasingly green focused, and with the increase in regulatory requirements regarding Greenhouse Gas emissions, businesses cannot stand still. Businesses must demonstrate a reduction in environmental impacts to remain competitive - and crucially, to be legally compliant. Investment in Carbon Footprinting and carbon management has therefore become an essential requirement for any business looking to compete in the 21st century market. This session will explore the basics of carbon accounting with the aim of giving attendees the information they need to:

• Identify sources of carbon within their business

• Understand the information required to scope, calculate, and complete a basic carbon footprint
