Max Shand is an entrepreneur and music lover. He is on the board of indie radio station FBi, Founder of Serenade, the Founder & Investor at Strangelove Investments and was the first employee of Australian FinTech behemoth AfterPay.
Strangelove Investments is a syndicate of 15 professional Australian millennials who provide early-stage technology companies with strategic capital. Strangelove invests $20k - $200k in pre-seed and seed deals in Australian and international start-ups with pre-money valuations of $10m or less. Investments include: Afterpay, Awayco, BrandCrush, Earnd, Eucalyptus, Hearables 3D, Lance and ROKT.
Serenade is a new platform connecting music fans with their favourite Australian Artists. Fans commission personalised videos from Australian musicians who perform their own songs. Currently focused on championing Australian music, it has more than 50 Australian artists on the platform. Serenade will eventually expand to include a broader spectrum of artists. Serenade helps artists monetise their music catalog, capitalise on their fanbase and provides a new distribution pathway. Prices range from $100 to $500 and are set by the artists themselves Once the artist accepts, you receive a one-of-a-kind video within seven days to download and share as you like.
