Online bookstore, Booktopia sells one book every 4.6 seconds and boasts an annual turnover of over $200 million. So it must be a big American conglomerate right? Wrong. It's a big Australian conglomerate.
It started small in 2004 when the narrative around books was that bookshops were closing and people were too busy on the internet to bother with books. Tony Nash and his two co-founders proved the narrative very wrong. They bought iconic brand Angus & Robertson and the chain of books most university graduates recognise as The Co-op Bookshop. We are going to open the pages of this story and find out just how Booktopia became a multi-award winning ASX listed company with a market capitalisation of $315 million.

Tony Nash is an entrepreneur, Founder & CEO in online retail. With a background in recruitment, programming, business development, selling, SEO and internet marketing. Tony has developed outstanding negotiation and leadership skills with a thorough understanding of sales, forecasting, bootstrapping, PR, empowerment, managing an executive team, capital raising and listing on the ASX.
