Join us at Riverside Cafe, Tumut for the next Business Snowy Valleys Heavy Industry Networking Breakfast. This is an opportunity to get together with local representatives of heavy industry from in and around the Snowy Valleys LGA.

The Softwoods Working GroupThe Softwoods Working Group (SWG) was formed in 1987 to represent the plantation-based timber industry of the South West slopes region of NSW, and involve all sectors of the community with an interest in the industry.
The Softwoods Working Group consists of representatives from:
- 4 local government areas (Snowy Valleys, Cootamundra-Gundagai, Greater Hume, and Albury City)
- 2 Regional Development Boards (Murray and Riverina)
- Forestry Corporation of NSW
- All the major private plantation growers
- All the processing operations in this region (Visy, AKD, Hyne)
Relevant NSW Government agencies (such as the Department of Regional NSW, and Transport for NSW) also attend meetings of SWG.

Business Snowy Valleys (BSV) has recently launched the Industry Network group focused on supporting trade, transport and heavy industry businesses within the local region. The BSV Industry Network is in direct response to feedback received from local heavy industry proponents, that Business Snowy Valleys could better reflect local heavy industry and trade. Business Snowy Valleys has listened and taken action, forming the Industry Network, partnering with key organisations like Snowy 2.0, ICN Gateway, Regional NSW & Business NSW.
The award winning and independant Business Snowy Valleys is all about creating a business environment which encourages economic growth, investment and employment in Adelong, Batlow, Talbingo, Tumut and surrounding areas. We provide support and assistance to our member businesses through our association with Business NSW. Business Snowy Valleys strives to provide networking and learning opportunities for our members. We actively represent our member businesses and ensure they have a strong voice on issues that affect them.
