Busy Bees - Volunteer working bee
Event description
Become part of the Collingwood Children's Farm volunteer community whether you're passionate about animals, gardening, or simply enjoy getting social and being outdoors.
Volunteering on the Farm provides participants with the opportunity to get their hands dirty, develop a strong sense of community and teamwork, and offers a unique opportunity for exposure to nature and the outdoors. As a working Farm, we respond to the changing seasons, weather and the needs of the animals, plants and people we care for. We’re looking for friendly people with the ability to adapt and maintain positivity in all kinds of weather, on all kinds of jobs!
Please keep in mind that the activities can change from session to session, so we can't guarantee particular tasks on any given day. If a date isn't listed, it means we have reached capacity for that session.
What to Bring: Weather appropriate clothing like long pants and sleeves, a hat, rain coat, a water bottle, and your own gloves if you prefer. Please wear sturdy, enclosed and comfortable shoes for your safety.
Orientation: Dedicated Community Program staff will run an introduction at the beginning of each session to familiarise you with our Farm, safety protocols, and the day's tasks.
How to book: Registering secures your place in the volunteer session for the chosen date, you must register before attending! You will receive a confirmation email with session details and a link to cancel your registration if your plans change. Get tickets!
Please note: There will be a short pause in Busy Bees sessions over the December holiday period, but we will be back and ready to go on Wednesday the 8th of January - see you there!
