ButohBAR 番狂わせ OUT of ORDER II is back to blow your mind! Dive into a surreal nightclub/BAR experience featuring mesmerising art, guerrilla performances, roving installations, Karaoke and more, woven together by the hypnotic art form of Butoh, led by legendary performing artist Yumi Umiumare. ButohBAR resurrects the wild spirit of the 70s and 80s, when Butoh ruled the nightclubs and strip joints to reflect on our post-pandemic world 'out of order.' Sake and spine-tingling ritualistic happenings initiate the space from 7pm Performances 7:30pm-9pm WARNINGS: Intermittent loud sounds, low lighting and varying intensity, a moment of flashing lights, potential nudity and adult themes. Low level audience involvement. Commissioned and presented by Abbotsford Convent and Asia TOPA, Arts Centre Melbourne.
