Event description

Let’s talk about body (ody ody ody) image ✨

Social media and its roles in promoting narrow idea of what's hot and what's not makes building positive relationship with our bodies challenging.

But social media isn't going anywhere, So how can you be more confident in and with your body and what can we do to make our online spaces kinder?

This Mental Health March, the UNSW health promotions unit invites students from the UNSW community to learn how to be kinder to their body and others through The Butterfly Foundation’s Body Kind Panel Discussion.

The event promotes social media literacy skills, sparks discussion and suggests actions around how we can be kinder to our own body and all bodies whilst online. 🦋

Having a healthy body image and self-confidence is an important part of supporting overall wellbeing, but this can be difficult to do in today’s world with social media and unrealistic body expectations.

With practical tips and activities this workshop will teach you how to be a little kinder to yourself and others, so make sure you sign up today!

Mental Health March is created by UNSW Health Promotions Unit and aims to encourage the UNSW community to engage in conversations surrounding the often challenging topics of mental health and wellbeing. The team offer workshops, resources and mental health services to all UNSW Students and Staff.

If you or someone you know needs some support with their mental health, you can contact the Psychology and Wellness team via Mental Health Connect.
