Description

Brisbane’s Big Butterfly Count and OCCA invite you to a family-friendly butterfly survey walk at Toohey Forest with local enthusiast, Annette Dexter.

Join us for a relaxed two-hour walk as we explore Toohey Forest, catch butterflies, and learn about the fascinating species that call our local area home. This event is open to all ages and experience levels - everyone is welcome!

Please keep an eye on your email and our social media pages for any last-minute cancellations due to cloudy weather (Butterflies are not active when it is overcast).

Dates:

  • Sunday 25th October

  • Sunday 6th December

  • Sunday 28th February

Time: Meet 8:45am for 9am departure. We will return around 11am.

Meeting Location: Please meet us at the Yarning Circle, located just off the Ring Road at Griffith University Nathan Campus.

What to bring: Please wear enclosed shoes, sun smart clothing and bring a water bottle.  We have nets to borrow during the walk but you are also welcome to bring your own.
